Gentle movement - working on flexibility, mobility, and mindful practice - not only supports us through different phases of life but also allows us to discover our own diversity and uniqueness.

WHAT IS MOBILITY?
Mobility is about proprioception - your awareness of your body’s position and movement in space. It is the ability to move actively and with control through your available range of motion.
Mobility training uses intentional exercises to expand range of motion, strengthen the muscles around your joints, and improve coordination and control. Rather than pushing the body into passive stretches, mobility invites you to move with awareness, stability, and ease.
Over time, this kind of practice supports healthier joints, more efficient movement, and a deeper connection to your body. It helps you move with confidence and strength.

WHAT IS FLEXIBILTY?
Flexibility focuses on stretching and lengthening muscles to allow the body to move freely, without stiffness or discomfort. It describes how much passive range of motion your muscles and connective tissues allow.
Flexibility practices use gentle stretching techniques to release tension, improve tissue elasticity, and create space in the body. Rather than forcing range, flexibility invites patience, softness, and an attentive relationship with sensation. It supports ease of movement, improved posture, and a greater sense of comfort. It encourages the body to feel open, responsive, and at home in its own range.

THE COMBINATION OF BOTH
They may focus on different aspects, but you can’t develop mobility without also working on flexibility – and the reverse is just as true. They go hand in hand. In fact, mobility practice naturally combines flexibility, strength, balance and control. I like to sum it up as “micro-muscle work.”

THE BENEFITS
Incorporating micro-muscle work helps you achieve optimal fitness and functionality.
Faster recovery (magnesium effect)
Increased range of motion
Reduced tension (feeling light & free)
Improved posture & body awareness
Prevention of pain and injuries
That’s why it’s important for everyone. Whether you are a professional athlete, hobby athlete or not into sports at all (and not even mentioning type of sport or age).
Besides all the physical benefits, practicing gentle movement helps you connect body, mind, and soul, learn to be present, and regulate your emotions – which helps you reducing stress and fostering greater self-love.
Namaste, Tamara
